Stud Fee: $800, frozen semen only
Highest percentage Driftwood horse in the country. Many crosses to Driftwood--but no Driftwood Ike. Owned by Dale Schnee Quarter Horses, Colorado (deceased, 2012). Dale Schnee says, "My entire Driftwood program, in one way or another; has revolved around Setumup as my foundation in perpetuating the blood of Driftwood. I feel he has done an excellent job. Setumup has get that has excelled in both the roping pen as well as in the barrel racing world. His ability to sire versatility is an attribute to him. I feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to breed Setumup, own him, and see how truly great a horse he really was..."
X2D Ranches: Sire of our Setumup Trucklewood colt (owned in partnership with Dale Schnee). We have frozen semen available on Setumup to carry on the line of this great horse.

Driftwood Horses News & Commentary

RFD-TV Jan-Feb 2014. A great show with Cris Cox and Jack Roddy. The Cris Cox show (for 2 weeks) featured World Champion Steer Wrestler Jack Roddy, and Cris went to Ireland where Jack's family came from. They got to talking about the Driftwood horses and how great and easy to train they were. Jack was saying Cris was riding a double bred Driftwood and roped 19 out of 20 off him. Really a great advertisement for the Driftwood bred horses. Jack Roddy was a heck of a cowboy - a great man and one of the greatest steer wrestlers there ever was. (Jack was the steer wrestling director who signed for me to get my RCA card in 1968). He and John W Jones stopped at Burkburnett for 2 days and practiced with us and I learned more in that 2 days than in the previous 5 years. ~ Lee Jones, C-J Ranch, OK.

Very few Driftwood bred horses don't have a cross or two to Joe Hancock... a good advertisement for him too. ~ Michelle Thompson, HeritageHancocks.com, & co-owner, HancockHorses.com
